發行重點

光線追踪
• 微軟DirectX光線跟踪(DXR)API擴展已能支援DirectX 12 Ultimate的實時光線跟踪,從而使開發人員可以將射線跟踪與傳統的柵格化和計算技術結合起來;DirectX光線追踪可在遊戲和實時應用程式中實現電影般的反射、陰影和照明,同時充分利用NVIDIA RTX專用的光線追踪核心。

網格著色器
• 網格著色器通過為圖形管線的頂點,細分和幾何著色階段提供新的著色器模型,從而改進NVIDIA的幾何處理體系結構,支援更靈活,更高效的幾何計算方法;通過將對象列表處理的關鍵性能瓶頸移出CPU並移入高度並行的GPU網格著色程式,這種更靈活的模型使得例如每個場景支援更多數量級的對象成為可能,網格著色還為GPU驅動的剔除和對象LOD管理啟用了新算法。

可變速率陰影
• 可變速率陰影(VRS)允許開發人員動態控制陰影速率,每16個像素最少著色一次,每個像素通常最多著色8次,該應用程式使用陰影率表面和每個基本體(三角形)值的組合來指定陰影率;VRS是一個非常強大的工具,它使開發人員可以更有效地進行著色,從而減少了屏幕區域中全分辨率著色不會給任何可見的圖像質量帶來好處的工作,並提高了幀速率;已經確定了幾類基於VRS的算法,這些算法可以根據內容的詳細程度(內容自適應陰影),內容運動速率(運動自適應陰影)以及對於VR應用,鏡頭分辨率和眼睛位置(集中式渲染)。

採樣器反饋
• 採樣器反饋與可變速率著色具有相同的理念,更智能地工作以減少GPU負載並提高性能;它是由我們的Turing架構中稱為紋理空間著色的硬體功能啟用,開發人員可以使用"紋理空間著色"(Texture Space Shading)以較低的速率(例如:每三幀)有效地對靜態對象進行著色,並重用先前幀中計算出的對象顏色,這種工作重用可以與光線跟踪結合使用,特別是在全局照明的情況下,這是緩慢變化且非常昂貴的陰影計算的常見示例。

• 修復vkCreateSampler在沒有borderColor資料的情況下就會導致失敗錯誤,即使它不是必需的。
• 修復編譯器在處理帶有額外未使用的坐標操作數組件的圖像操作時出現問題。
• 修復寫入動態索引的vec2和vec3片段顏色輸出的問題。

光線追踪
• 微軟DirectX光線跟踪(DXR)API擴展已能支援DirectX 12 Ultimate的實時光線跟踪,從而使開發人員可以將射線跟踪與傳統的柵格化和計算技術結合起來;DirectX光線追踪可在遊戲和實時應用程式中實現電影般的反射、陰影和照明,同時充分利用NVIDIA RTX專用的光線追踪核心。

網格著色器
• 網格著色器通過為圖形管線的頂點,細分和幾何著色階段提供新的著色器模型,從而改進NVIDIA的幾何處理體系結構,支援更靈活,更高效的幾何計算方法;通過將對象列表處理的關鍵性能瓶頸移出CPU並移入高度並行的GPU網格著色程式,這種更靈活的模型使得例如每個場景支援更多數量級的對象成為可能,網格著色還為GPU驅動的剔除和對象LOD管理啟用了新算法。

可變速率陰影
• 可變速率陰影(VRS)允許開發人員動態控制陰影速率,每16個像素最少著色一次,每個像素通常最多著色8次,該應用程式使用陰影率表面和每個基本體(三角形)值的組合來指定陰影率;VRS是一個非常強大的工具,它使開發人員可以更有效地進行著色,從而減少了屏幕區域中全分辨率著色不會給任何可見的圖像質量帶來好處的工作,並提高了幀速率;已經確定了幾類基於VRS的算法,這些算法可以根據內容的詳細程度(內容自適應陰影),內容運動速率(運動自適應陰影)以及對於VR應用,鏡頭分辨率和眼睛位置(集中式渲染)。

採樣器反饋
• 採樣器反饋與可變速率著色具有相同的理念,更智能地工作以減少GPU負載並提高性能;它是由我們的Turing架構中稱為紋理空間著色的硬體功能啟用,開發人員可以使用"紋理空間著色"(Texture Space Shading)以較低的速率(例如:每三幀)有效地對靜態對象進行著色,並重用先前幀中計算出的對象顏色,這種工作重用可以與光線跟踪結合使用,特別是在全局照明的情況下,這是緩慢變化且非常昂貴的陰影計算的常見示例。
